Green Photography Competition Showing at Science Oxford Live

The UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) has launched a new and thought-provoking photography competition for 10-18 year olds to show what ‘low carbon living’ means to them through photographs.

The best pictures will receive prizes, as well as being displayed at the following exhibitions:

  • Friday 12 March. 7.30 pm: talk and exhibition at Science Oxford Live
  • Saturday 13 March 10.00 – 17.00: exhibition at Science Oxford Live
  • Monday 15 March to Sunday 21 March 10.00 -17.00: at At-Bristol

This competition, part of the annual Oxfordshire Science Festival, aims to highlight the issue of climate change and the effects generating energy has on the environment. Applicants are invited to interpret these issues under the heading ‘Low Carbon Living’ in whatever way they choose.

Applicants are asked to send their pictures by email to meeting.place@ukerc.ac.uk by 20 February 2010. More information is available on www.ukerc.ac.uk.
