A natural history of Ice Age animals
Over the last half million years, Britain has experienced extreme variations in climate, switching from “Ice Ages” to warmer times when hippos wallowed in the Thames. Palaeontologist Dr Danielle Schreve of Royal Holloway, University of London, explains how fossil mammals can recreate ancient environments, shed new light on early human behaviour and contribute to the climate change debate.
