Wildlife Photographer, Science Oxford, Veolia, and the Oxford Palestine Solidarity Campaign
The sponsors of the Wildlife Photographer UK tour this year are Veolia Environnement.
Veolia were chosen by the Natural History Museum (NHM) as the sponsors of the tour without any discussion with Science Oxford (SO), and SO does not benefit directly from their partnership. This is the third time that the NHM have worked with Veolia, but the first year that Veolia have sponsored the national tour, having previously just sponsored the exhibition at the NHM itself.
We are always receptive to local groups who want to talk to us about any aspect of our work. So we were very happy when the Oxford Palestine Solidarity Campaign (OPSC) contacted us about their concerns relating to Veolia, which are summarised here.
We have worked with OPSC to find a way for them to voice their concerns, just as we would with any local group who had concerns about one of our activities. We are aware that we are not experts either in the politics of the Middle East, or Jerusalem’s transport system, and so we cannot comment on OPSC’s opinions about Veolia.
To discuss this further please contact info@scienceoxford.com.
