Science Labs has been launching two brand new science learning centers for K 12 girls this year. With science subjects and computer science expanding at rapid speeds, youngsters and parents are seeking opportunities to take an early lead, even prior to preschool. “STEM” stands for “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.” This year, start your young girl out right in a science lab. Here are some ideas about how to engage her while she’s still young.
The interactive science labs feature a range of interactive elements from building blocks to chemistry sets. Preschool kids will learn the basics of science through construction and molds, with the help of lab equipment like the chemistry set, the magnetic force plate, and the thermometer. At the end, children will have a fun “grade reading” option that lets them see their science projects on a digital notebook.
To encourage more interest in science, consider having some science experiments in the science labs. One easy way to do this is to pair up two girls who already love science, or perhaps two girls in your family who want to learn more. To get started, pair each girl up in teams of two. Have each team assign members to go outside and put together a science experiment based on something that interests them. This can be any number of things, but it must be something you and your child have enjoyed and are interested in.
You may also find great science labs in pre-school, including the use of a science table. A science table is simply a round table with a flat surface. It can be made from wood, plastic, or cardboard. Some models include drawers and removable storage areas, so it is ready for any science project you might find yourself working on. And, of course, it saves a lot of space.

One great benefit of using a science table in a home science lab is that it allows kids to rotate their experiments as they see fit. So, you can rotate the shelf on which your child has her experiments. If you are working with two girls, swap their science table. You could also rotate it so each child has a turn working on her own. The more times they have a chance to make their experiments, the more they will enjoy learning and experimenting.
A science fair is a wonderful way for children to show off their new experiments and ideas. But, a science fair requires a lot of work and effort on the part of parents and/or students. Don’t let your children suffer through another year of boring and dull lab classes. Plan a weekend of hands on activities that engage both them and their science fair project.
Young kids will also enjoy having their own science kits. There are science kits for every age and stage of learning. Some science kits even include everything that you need to conduct an experiment. And, while the kits can get expensive, there are often free items that you can pick up that will help you create your own experiment. And, with a science kit for kids, all the materials are included.
With all of the benefits of hands-on science learning and having fun, there is no wonder why these types of science projects and hands-on science experiments are enjoying such a surge in popularity. Even some parents are turning to science kits as supplement to traditional school science classes. These kits help children refine their science skills as well as introduce them to the exciting world around them. Science kits are fun and exciting and provide a wonderful venue for children to explore and learn. They are also very educational and provide children with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge through science experimentation and hands-on science learning. So, give science kits for kids a try.
